The Program Manager will work in the Adult Services Division Bureau of Program and Policy Development and will work primarily on the implementation of Certified Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) in New York State. New York State was one of eight states in the nation recently awarded a CCBHC demonstration program.
The CCBHC is a Federal program model to provide an opportunity to improve the behavioral health system, through the provision of community-based mental health and substance use disorder treatment, by helping to further integrate behavioral health with physical health care, utilizing evidence-based practices on a more consistent basis, and improving access to high quality care.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Function as a part of a multidisciplinary team in the implementation of 13 regional providers becoming CCBHCs in NYS.
- Provide technical assistance to providers in order to ensure the programs ability to meet Federal CCBHC certification requirements including service delivery, organization change, workforce training, cultural diversity standards, data reporting, etc.
- Assist in the day-to-day project management of the grant and coordination of all training and implementation activities.
Minimum Requirements/Preferred Skills:
Qualifications for position: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and four years of post-degree professional administrative or clinical administrative experience in behavioral health. A Master's degree in a Mental Health or Substance Abuse related specialty is preferred and may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
Skills and knowledge required: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, possess excellent writing and communication skills, demonstrated ability to develop and conduct oral and written presentations.
Personal qualities: Ability to work as a part of a team, self-starter requiring minimal supervision and oversight.
