The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. (RFMH) is currently seeking to fill one full-time position for Administrative Assistant of NY Project Hope (NYPH). NY Project Hope is a Crisis Counseling Program funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), administered by the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) through its Substance Abuse and Mental Hygiene Services Administration (SAMHSA), and operated by the New York State Office of Mental Health in conjunction with RFMH. The purpose of NY Project Hope is to provide counseling services to residents of New York State who have been emotionally traumatized by the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. This position will focus on the New York City portion of the project. This position is funded through March 2022 with a high possibility of extension to June 2022 and beyond.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting CCP grant operations and will coordinate, schedule, and assist with preparations for all meetings, including meetings with the New York State Office of Mental Health, provider meetings, and internal agency coordination meetings, as well as trainings for the Director, Deputy Director and Program Specialists.
  • S/he will be responsible for coordinating travel arrangements and requests for traveling out of town.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma and two (2) years of work experience
  • Knowledge of and comfort using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to work remotely

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Administrative experience on large-scale projects or grants
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing work environment while managing competing priorities
  • Must work well independently and as a team member
